A new alloy was developed for conduits

The material is proved to allow excellent electric conductivity at the same heat-resistance level. It has been registered as '1R60', as one of the official alloys, by the National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee, and has been embodied into the "Chemical Composition of Wrought Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Alloys" (GB/T 3190-2020).

In 2018, the Company and Institute of China Aluminum Material Application Research jointly started the research and development of ultra-high conductive and heat-resistant aluminum alloy material. During the period, a proportion model of alloy elements was established to deepen the study of the mechanism of the physical performance, electrical conductivity and heat resistance of the aluminum alloy; a grain structure model of the conducting material was established to streamline continuous casting and rolling technique as well as heat treatment processes. They were finally rewarded with technical breakthrough and successfully developed '1R60', the ultra-high conductive and heat-resistant aluminum alloy. The core technologies, "a heat-resistant aluminum alloy rod for multiply-capacity conduits and the production method" and "on-line parameter adjustment method for the rolling of heat-resistant aluminum alloy rod" have been awarded with the patents of National Invention.
